Dairyland auto insurance to raise prices
Nevada Insurance Commissioner Alice A. Molasky-Arman has granted a request by Dairyland Insurance Company (Dairyland) to increase its private passenger automobile insurance rates through a comprehensive strategy to 8.5 per cent of the national average.
In its application for registration and information, Dairyland uses an actuarial formula, with 12 percent of an injury to increase / Airplane civil liability and a rate of 16.2 per cent increase overall coverage, where quotas for other surfaces for the most part unchanged, could have a total national average increase of 9.4 percent.
The division of insurance mathematicians conclude that the considerations of profitability does not support any overall increase in rates, while a combination of trends and profitability tends to support accountability.
Although Molasky-Arman approved an increased share of responsibility for the request, it refuses the proposed increase in coverage. Increasing responsibility vary from a level nearly 20 percent for the sectors of the Washoe County and Las Vegas on a minimum or no change for Blue Diamond.
The new rates come into contact with effect from 10 December for new and January 4, 2003 for renewals.
Dairyland is the sixth insurer of the free movement of persons deprived of automobile insurance in Nevada with coverage of more than 30000 cars. The last sentence of Dairyland change took effect in December 2001 for an increase of 15.8 per cent.
